Summer bodies are made in the winter. Before it’s dayclub and barbeque season again, you had better get your workout routine down. The problem is that after Thanksgiving it can be hard to find the motivation to go Christmas shopping as well as hit the gym after work.

  1. Find a Gym You Like

Instead of signing up for the gym closest to your work or home, actually spend the time to go out and visit different gyms. Find out what kind of monthly plan they have, if they let you bring a guest, and what other amenities they have. If you’re into classes, find a gym that offers yoga, pilates, or even boxing.

  1. Morning or Evening?

Are you a morning person or do you prefer to go workout after work? Try out an early morning schedule and then try a couple of classes after work. From there you’ll be able to tell what you prefer. If it’s impossible for you to get out of bed in the morning, then you’ll know that you should schedule your workouts after 5pm.  

  1. Figure Out A Schedule

Doctors say that it’s best to workout 3 to 4 times a week in order to help with stress and sleep. Whatever gym you decide to sign up for, figure out a schedule of classes and workouts that you would like to take.

  1. Stick To It

The hardest thing will be sticking to your schedule. At times you will fail, which is why it might be best to sign up with a friend or find a gym buddy to hold you accountable.
