If your goal is to lose weight or change your body’s appearance then working out isn’t the only thing you should implement into your daily routine. You’ve probably heard that losing weight is 80% diet and 20% working, that’s because it’s the truth! What you put into your body determines how much muscle mass you will gain and how much fat you will lose. You have to learn what and when to eat as well as how many times.
Weight Gain Diet.
Most of you believe that you can keep on eating your fruit loops and bacon for breakfast as long as you work out a bunch. Unfortunately, we’re here to tell you that even if you came to our boot camp class three times a week it wouldn’t help you lose weight if you keep eating the way that you do. Ditch the fast food and start learning how to cook your own healthy and hearty meals!
The Regular Food Pyramid.
For those of us who grew up with the normal food pyramid then you know that getting a good mix of veggies, fruits, cereals and protein is important. However, this food pyramid still doesn’t take into account the fact that you may want to be shedding the pounds. If you carry on with this diet, you will most likely stay the same.
What You Should Eat.
Cutting out sugar in it’s many forms including honey, agave, and maple syrup is going to be key for you to get rid of that gut that has been haunting you for years. Carbs are important as they help spike your insulin and give you energy in order to workout, but you should be looking into the right kinds of carbohydrates. These include; sweet potatoes, quinoa, brown rice, oats and millet. From there, as long as you are eating well-balanced meals at breakfast, lunch, and dinner with good snacks in between it should be easy to shed the weight.
You could easily follow this plan and lose weight without needing to do any exercise, but you definitely won’t build muscle. In order to shed the pounds while also getting muscle definition, you will need the right meal plan and workout routine. If you eat right and come to Extreme Circus Bootcamp at least twice a week you will start to see improvements in your physique within one month.
